Paintball is an outdoor activity where players compete in teams, eliminating opponents by hitting them with dye-filled gelatin capsules fired from air-powered markers. At W.A.R Paintball & Airsoft, we offer full paintball, low-impact Splatmaster, and airsoft across our arena in Sandbach, Cheshire.

How old do you need to be for paintball?

Standard paintball at W.A.R is suitable for ages 12 and over. For younger players aged 7-11, we offer Splatmaster — low-impact paintball using lighter, softer ammunition. Airsoft is available for ages 16 and over.

What should I wear to paintball?

Wear old clothes you don't mind getting dirty. Sturdy footwear with ankle support is recommended. W.A.R Paintball provides all protective equipment including full-face masks, chest protection, and gloves.

Is low impact paintball safe for children?

Accepted Answer

Yes — Splatmaster uses much lighter ammunition at lower velocity, making it safe and fun for children aged 7 and upwards. All players receive full protective equipment and are supervised by trained marshals throughout.
